The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Fighters Party

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a colorful mix of personalities, and a thrilling plot showcasing divine entities, fiends, and sinister influences increasing in strength within the city.

Note: Spoilers for Episode 3 of this adventure follow below.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

Episode 3 finished on a huge suspense moment and revealed the initial group of adventurers who will separate from the central cast to undertake their own adventure, distinct from the remaining groups.

This warrior group consists of the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

Considering an extensive roster, it was clear from the outset that keeping everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

This explains, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Introduction, connecting the individual narratives before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.

What Defines the Combat Party

As described by the DM, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where non-violent answers are scarce.

At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the actions of the third episode show why these particular heroes are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the party understands precisely where to head next after a violent initial meeting with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose death started the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his selfish purposes, breaking into the secret base, assaulting the character, and taking all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The antagonist then settled his debts and fled to a fortified location in the northern region, north of the urban center, with Cyd close behind.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each adventurer has a individual motive to depart the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, seeks vengeance.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the region and cautions that it is a nasty location.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having defied his family’s wishes to execute the target and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their position as key figures in the powerful family could help the team reach areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Moreover, The grateful character pledged a life debt to The cleric for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are hunted by the authorities that govern the setting for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • Tyranny and The cleric betrayed the influential house and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by House Halovar.

This results in them little choice but to head to the remote area in quest for Casimir.

Upcoming Developments

Based on the recent installment’s Cooldown, we find out that the Soldiers table won’t be around next week, leaving the rest of the cast members to form the Explorers and Schemers groups.

Fans can look forward to discovering which adventurers will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, released on the upcoming Thursday.
