Red Bull has revealed a major reshuffle for the 2026 Formula 1 season, moving up Frenchman Isack Hadjar to its senior team and awarding British teenager Arvid Lindblad his maiden Formula 1 seat. The young driver, who is of Swedish and Indian heritage, will be team-mate to New Zealander Liam Lawson at the second team Racing Bulls. This reshuffling results in Japan's Yuki Tsunoda losing his seat after five seasons. A Star in the Making Arvid Lindblad participated in FP1 for the British and Mexico City Grands Prix in the current season. The youngster was identified as a rising talent by Red Bull since he was 12 years old. Discussing the team's young driver programme, a senior Red Bull figure noted last year that Lindblad "appears very talented", highlighting his "pure speed". The team has had a plan since last year to prepare Lindblad for his likely F1 debut in 2026, including appearances in Grand Prix practice at the British and Mexican races. The rookie said it was a "proud moment", adding: "2026 will be a huge step, and I know there's plenty to absorb, but I'm eager to collaborate with the team and meet the challenge. I can't wait to get started." Lindblad has taken two races in F2 so far this season and is sixth in the standings heading into the season finale in Abu Dhabi. Hadjar's Big Break Isack Hadjar celebrates his first podium in F1, secured at the Zandvoort race in August. The Frenchman's debut season started on a low note when he crashed on the formation lap of the first Australian Grand Prix. However, since then, he has been one of the stand-out rookies this season. He featured an outstanding top-three result at the Dutch Grand Prix, and he sits 10th in the drivers' standings. A senior team figure said: "Hadjar has displayed impressive growth and proved to be a fast adapter. Most importantly, he has the innate pace that is the number one requirement in this sport. We believe he can thrive alongside Max." Hadjar described it "an incredible opportunity" and said he felt "prepared". Lawson Retains His Seat To partner Lindblad at Racing Bulls, Red Bull have chosen Lawson instead of Tsunoda. Lawson started 2025 with the senior squad but was moved back early in the year. However, he has found his form at the junior outfit with some strong performances, convincing Red Bull he deserves more time. The Japanese driver, meanwhile, has been ejected after a disappointing season. His best result is a sixth place, and he has accumulated a minor percentage of the team's points total. These announcements mean that there remains no spot on the Red Bull programme for Ireland's Alex Dunne, who will continue in F2 next season.
